It’s an amazing morning in San Francisco. I enjoy listening to the lap of the water and watching the boats go by. I’m wearing a light jacket, soaking up the sun. It’s hard to believe it’s February!

The lemons on the backyard tree are all ripening, so I put a call out to friends for recipes. I’m off school this week, so I want to take advantage of the time to try some new recipes.
Day #1: Lemon Bars – sssoooooo good!

It’s been a month full of field trips. Most recently, on Saturday, I took a group of 6 students to the California Academy of Sciences, and then to SFSU for a marine science scrimmage. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much. The octopus was an especial hit.

It’s the season for weeds — and seedlings!

I’m so excited – I brought home some crickets for my lizard today, and he’s eating them! I’ve been realy worried about him. I brought him home for Thanksgiving break, and he quickly got pretty nonresponsive. I kept giving him meal worms, which he normally eats quickly, but he didn’t seem to eat any of them. It’s been two weeks, and he seems to be losing weight. So today I decided to change it up and get him some crickets again. Success! I’m so relieved.

Great night at Cirque du Soleil (Totem) with friends. The acrobatics were amazing and the music was beautiful!
